BUILD IT. CODE IT. MAKE IT COME ALIVE!
Imagine your child building their own musical instrument, programming it to respond to touch and movement, creating interactive lighting effects and exploring how virtual reality and drones are used in creative productions!
At Flosverse Techsphere CIC, we believe children should do more than simply use technology. We want them to understand it, experiment with it and develop the confidence to create with it.
Give your child the opportunity to explore the exciting world of music technology, coding, electronics, engineering and digital creativity through a meaningful hands-on project.
From building their first guitar to programming interactive effects and presenting their creation, this is an opportunity to develop practical skills, confidence and creativity.
Our Smart Guitar Production is an exciting seven-week, project-based STEM programme where children explore engineering, electronics, coding, music technology and digital creativity while working towards building their own interactive Smart Guitar.
No previous coding or electronics experience is required. Beginners are welcome!
What Will Your Child Learn?
Weeks 1–2: Acoustics, Engineering & Physical Computing
Children begin by exploring the science of sound and how electrical circuits work using Snap Circuits.
They will design and construct the physical body of their cardboard guitar before introducing the BBC micro:bit V2 as the digital brain of their instrument.
Through introductory coding activities, children will learn how to make their guitar respond to touch and movement.
Skills developed: Engineering, electronics, physical computing, creativity, problem-solving and introductory programming.
Weeks 3–4: Music Coding & Smart Stage Lighting
Children will explore how coding can be used to create interactive music.
Using Scratch, they will programme musical sounds, drum loops and synthesiser effects, connecting their coding activities to their Smart Guitar project.
Skills developed: Scratch coding, programming logic, circuits, interactive design and creative technology.
Weeks 5–6: 3D Design, Virtual Reality & Drone Technology
Children will explore the creative possibilities of 3D design and virtual reality by developing virtual stages for their music productions.
They will also be introduced to drone programming, discovering how automated flight paths can be used in filming and creative productions.
Skills developed: 3D design, virtual environments, spatial thinking, drone programming, planning and technical problem-solving.
Week 7: The Smart Guitar Showcase
It's time to celebrate everything our young innovators have achieved!
During the final session, children will bring together their projects and present their work in an interactive showcase for parents, families and invited guests.
They will have the opportunity to demonstrate their creations, explain how their technology works and share the skills they have developed throughout the programme.
Flosverse STEM Club follows a structured, hands-on approach that combines short demonstrations with practical activities, creative challenges and opportunities for independent exploration.
Our learning process is:
SHOW → TRY → BUILD → TEST → IMPROVE → SHARE
We aim to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed and every child has opportunities to develop.
